Twelfth Night
We will begin this unit by watching the film Twelfth Night (Please see video link below) This will allow students to become aquainted to the plot while not having to stuggle through the language.
Anticipation Guide
Before we begin reading through the play the students will be asked to talk generally about humour and romance. Please see the guiding question below. Throughout the play we will always recap any unfamilar language and use the modern day translation of the play when needed.

Act 2 and Act 3
Studens have been divided up into groups according to the number of parts in each Scene. Students are to get into character and act out their assigned scene. Students are encouraged to use props, music, and dramatic represenations to complete their scence. Creativety is yours!

Act 4 and 5
We will read these scenes together as a class. The students will then be broken up into Literature Groups to discuss the Act's (any questions they have, any words they are unsure of, etc) Students will then be broken into partners. Each pair will be asked to re write a scene in modern day English. Students will be allowed to use the play itself, a dictionary, and the internet to help them with this task. Please see assignment below.
